The Current Requirements For MCSE Certification Exams

Through this article we will be taking a look at the current requirements need in order for a person to obtain their MCSE certification. In order to gain this certification you will need to pass a series of Microsoft Certification exams. There are five core exams and 2 elective exams.

The 5 core exams are made up of the following:-

1. 4 operating systems exams 2. 1 design exam

The first of the operating exams relates to client operating systems and one of these will need to be taken. Whilst the other 3 operating systems exams relates to the networking systems.

There are a number of different courses that a person will need to undertake and you may discover that some of these will overlap in order for you to take the appropriate exams to gain your certification.

As with the operating systems exams the design exam has a number of different options that a person can choose from in order to gain their certification. But the great thing about this is you have more options to choose from when it actually comes to the course work.

However for many people the final 2 elective exams can either be a blessing or a curse. There are several different courses you can choose from in order to take these 2 exams. But the problem as you have so many choices choosing which one to take can be extremely difficult especially if you are new to IT. Unfortunately some of the courses and thus the exams are more difficult than others and the choices a person makes will either result in them either passing or failing their MCSE certification exams at the end of their training. But having said this the most popular of these elective exams seems to be System Administration for Microsoft SQL Server 7.0. This has been a staple part of the exam process for many years now. Although it may be the most popular certainly it is not the easiest of the elective exams a person can take.

When it comes to making decisions about which of the MCSE certification exams you wish to take you should weigh up the pros and cons of each one on an individual basis. Also you should ask your colleagues and other MCSE people for their opinions as to which they feel will be best suited to your particular requirements. By doing this you will be able to reach a much more informed decision of what are best for you and which will result you in passing rather than failing them when the time comes for you to sit and take them.
